Job Title: Software Engineer – Malware Simulation

Salary Range: £32,000 – £45,000
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Engineering community in Cambridge. You’ll be a key member of our Monitoring and Attack Visualization team and will be supporting the development and product teams by identifying and fixing areas of inefficiency and risk within the product development cycle.

Job Responsibilities:
Create benign versions of live malware
Maintain a malware zoo, keeping a library of malicious software for testing our product against and determining behavioral patterns of malicious activity
Develop and run a large-scale infrastructure for validation of our product
Design and maintain Python scripts to test conformance to specifications
Job Requirements:
Proven commercial experience writing complex Python scripts
Knowledge of a variety of languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic and/or JavaScript
Familiarity with concepts of Windows OS
The following skills and attributes are a plus:
Experience with common exploit techniques and vulnerabilities
An interest in software security and the techniques used by malware and hackers
Understanding and experience of virtualization
Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
