At Cherryz, it’s our mission to make shopping the little things in life fun and affordable. We’re backed by some of Europe’s leading venture funds and have great ambitions. However, we’re just at the beginning of our journey – there’s still loads to do and we need more incredible people that share our vision of creating an amazing new online brand.
Customers can shop on cherryz.com and our Android app (React Native) with WooCommerce (PHP) being the underlying shop system and AWS used for hosting. So far we’ve been successfully outsourcing development to a team outside of the UK. However, in order to take Cherryz to the next level we’ve now started building an in-house team.
We’re looking for a Developer with experience in PHP and React Nativeto join our existing development team and take a leading role in the development of our iOS app.
A passionate coder yourself who is eager to always be at the forefront of technology, you’ll be playing a key role in shaping the overall culture of the Cherryz development team.
You’ll report directly to the Tech Lead and work closely with our Product & QA Manager.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Plan weekly development sprints together with our Tech Lead, Product & QA Manager (and founders)
Write beautiful, clean code 🙂
Help hire and lead our development team
Continuously ensure that we’re using a tech stack appropriate to the stage, size and growth plans of the business
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience working in a cutting-edge development team, ideally for an app-centric e-commerce business
Strong background in PHP and JavaScript
Some experience with React Native and eager to become amazing at it
Some team leadership and hiring experience
Experience with AWS and Cloud computing a bonus
Taking pleasure from creating ‘beautiful’ code
Excellent communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset
