Overview
Movebubble is on a mission to make renting better for renters. Based in London, we are forming a team of people who want to solve the pains of renting and who truly represent the renters we serve. Working collaboratively and passionate about our customers, we are poised for major growth in 2018. We are now looking for exceptional people to join us.
Are you a front-end aficionado who wants to join a committed team and develop an elite product that will positively affect millions of renters’ lives? If the answer is yes, read on…
The Role and You
You’ll be working in a team with the Head of Development, Product Manager, and other developers, continuing the active development and maintenance of our two mobile apps and website. You’ll have responsibility for all aspects of the development lifecycle, from design through to build, test and deploy, plus monitoring usage and performance to ensure the renters are enjoying a magical experience.
You are a gifted developer, who can work closely with people across the business to find solutions for internal and external customers. You want to learn and can mentor junior team members to improve their skills. Your code is clean and maintainable, and you try to leave things better than how you found them. You are happy crafting solutions for problems, fleshing them out with consideration and appreciation of any constraints, and working to produce the best product possible. Although more focused on front-end development, you’re not afraid to work across the stack when needed.
Over time, you will begin to establish your own responsibilities as you both define and react to the opportunities for improving our renters’ experiences on the platform. You will be excited about making an impact and growing with the team.
Your experience could include:
- JavaScript
- React
- React Native
- Redux
- HTML/CSS/SASS
Your personal traits and competencies will include:
- A strong desire for making renting better and applying hard-won skills to real problems faced by real people
- Enthusiasm for the problem-solving aspects of software development
- A pragmatic approach
- A willingness to justify and defend your opinion, but also accept when other solutions are better or necessary
- Passion and energy for learning
- An ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers
