Overview
The platform has just ‘soft-launched’ in UK and will be followed by other target EU countries and North American states in 2019, with an app to follow in June too.
The Role
The Smiley Movement is launching in the UK and we’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Events Manager to help launch and increase awareness of the movement in the UK. They will lead in delivering and further developing the Marketing Strategy and for helping develop and deliver our events programme.
Marketing
– Responsible for the delivery and evolution of the marketing strategy and work with the CEO to implement further developments when necessary
– Promote the Smiley Movement brand, policies and core values
– Promote to and increase the Smiley Movement users, including conducting promotion to universities
– Promote Smiley Movement products including: Smiley Awards, Smiley Talks, Smiley Hubs and Smiley News
– Lead on advertising and PR and identify other routes for promotion and targeting specific relevant audiences
– Manage all aspects of production, receipt and distribution of marketing materials
– Co-ordinate market research to identify interest and uptake for current and future users
– Lead on case studies for the Movement for use in marketing
– Deliver all marketing activity within agreed budget
Events
– Help develop our events from editorial line to delivery (with support from Head of Global Partnerships) including:
– Communicating and maintaining project timelines and priorities
– Lead on messaging and comms both pre and post event
– Develop contacts to secure appropriate and free/ good-value venue hire
– Liaise with external suppliers including venues, caterers, speakers etc
– Organise appropriate co-badging of external events
– Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations
– On-the-day management of events and presenting of Smiley Movement
